2021 UPDATED TERMS & CONDITIONS

ALL BOOKINGS REMAIN PROVISIONAL UNTIL CONFIRMED BY US BY EMAIL (allow up to 24 hours)
PEACE OF MIND "FULLY REFUNDABLE BOOKING UP TO 14 DAYS " IN PLACE FOR 2021
We have in place a fully refundable booking policy in place up to 14 days before arrival - so for whatever the reason if you wish to cancel (provided we have received your request in writing via email , or text message in time frame mentioned ) we will refund in full (please allow up to 14 days for payment to be received).
A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking, if your start date is less than 2 months before arrival we require the full balance for your holiday to be paid up front.
Once the deposit is paid, the balance for your stay is payable 30 days prior to the start date of your holiday. If our guests book via Free to Book then the final payment is taken by us using the card details that are stored ( for one transaction ) in the Free to Book system. Full payment is required for bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival and we reserve the right to cancel your reservation with immediate effect should the payment not be received 48 hours after being requested.
If bookings are cancelled 14 days or less up to start date of the holiday then the full amount of the booking including the deposit is retained by us, regardless of the reason.
In exceptional circumstances we may offer to move your dates but this is at our discretion with any differences in rates & a £75 admin fee applied.
Departure and Arrival times
Departure is by 10.00 a.m. and arrival from 16.00 p.m. If you wish for any different times please discuss in advance and we'll try to accommodate you if we can.
Booking both houses - If you have booked both houses and are holidaying together, do not mix up the contents of each house, so if you borrow chairs, glasses for example please put them back where they belonged at the start of your stay. Any extra time by our changeover staff who are on strict schedule to fix this, will be charged for.
We sincerely hope you love your time at our holiday home and whilst complaints are very rare thankfully, we will try to rectify anything amiss as soon as possible, but please tell us straight away so we can! Please report any breakages straight away, we understand breakages occur but in order not to inconvenience the next guests it is imperative we are informed so they can be fixed. All breakages must be paid for, we are understanding that mishaps occur but we expect you to leave the property as found, and with fixtures , fittings & furniture & all items accounted for.
Vehicles and personal property
We recommend you have you own insurance to cover your valuables - as we will not be held liable for any losses under any circumstances. Vehicles plus contents are parked at On the Hill Aberfoyle at their owner's risk. Bicycles should remain locked at all times, , as we cannot be held liable for any theft, or damage to the bikes as a result of being left on our property.
We reserve the right to remove or restrict from entering the property any person or persons due to unreasonable behaviour including any of the following reasons : Exceeding the booked number of guests. Exceeding the length of stay or checking out time. Exceeding the maximum occupancy of 6 persons per house. Willful damage to property
No refunds will be given in this instance.
Strictly No smoking in the houses, this will be treated as unreasonable behaviour.
No parties, stag or hen groups as this will also be breach of this contract.
We accept well behaved dogs by prior arrangement. Please make a special request if you would like to bring a dog. There is a dog fee of £25 per dog per week. Dogs must not be left unsupervised in the houses. We ask that you bring old towels to dry your dog off after walks and his / her bed. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture , beds, and please bring your own pet basket / blanket for sleeping on. Please no fouling of the house or garden for which there is a fine of £50, and don’t leave your dog unattended in the garden. Please note that there may be gaps in the garden boundaries through which your dog could escape, we advise that you check carefully on arrival & supervise at all times. We can’t be held responsible for any escapes or mishaps. Please respect the neighbours & keep noise to a minimum.
A charge may be levied for excess cleaning or damage (for example finding a lot of dog hairs on sofa- despite dogs not being allowed on furniture). If your dog is the hair shedding kind then please use the vacuum cleaner provided or an additional cleaning charge will be taken from your deposit. Thankfully, most of our visitors are respectful and this is very rarely necessary ☺
