2020 UPDATED TERMS & CONDITIONS
We are aware many of you may be nervous about booking this year due to the uncertainty regarding covid-19.
We therefore have in place a FULLY REFUNDABLE (minus admin fee) BOOKING POLICY IN PLACE UP UNTIL 14 DAYS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE, FOR ALL BOOKINGS FOR 2020 & STAYS BEFORE APRIL 2021 in case of changing plans due to the uncertain situation.
If you need to cancel 14 days or LESS before arrival date, regardless of the reason, then the FULL amount is due regardless of whether you stay or not, as we will be unable to re-let the property to anyone else at such short notice.
A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking.
The balance for the stay is payable 30 days prior to the start date of your holiday.
If bookings are cancelled less than 14 days before start date of the holiday then the full amount of the booking including the deposit is retained by us. We may in exceptional circumstance agree to move the booking to a different date (price difference applies) subject to our approval.
If bookings are cancelled up to 14 days before the start date of the holiday then the guest is eligible for a 100% refund of all booking (minus £95 admin fee if applicable) provided cancellations are in writing via our email and confirmed by us.
A non refundable deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking accommodation for 12 & 14 On the Hill with the balance payable in full no later than 4 weeks before the arrival date. If our guests book via Free to Book then the final payment is taken by us using the details that are stored ( for one transaction ) in the Free to Book system. Full payment is required for bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival.

Cancellation policy for 2020

All cancellations in writing before this date will be refunded in full (minus £95 admin fee) for 2020
If 14 DAYS OR LESS IN ADVANCE OF ARRIVAL DATE
cancellations are non refundable.
In the event of adverse weather or breakdown causing you to cancel your booking, we are in no way responsible for any losses so incurred.
Cancellation to be in writing or by e-mail, and received & confirmed by us before being effective.
ALL visitors are strongly recommended to take out travel insurance.
In the unlikely event that we may need to cancel your booking you will receive a full refund, and if less than 2 weeks before arrival date compensation of value up to £100 may be offered in addition to the refund.
Departure and Arrival times
Departure is by 10.00 a.m. and arrival from 16.00 p.m. If you wish for any different times please discuss in advance and we'll try to accommodate you if we can.
Any complaint regarding your stay with us should be made in the first instance to Jill Jennings, email or via call or text 07800 563926 at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved straight away.
Any breakages MUST be reported at the time, we understand breakages occur but in order not to inconvenience the next guests it is much better to get in touch straight away so they can be fixed. We reserve the right to charge for any such breakages.
Vehicles and personal property
We recommend you have you own insurance to cover your valuables - as we will not be held liable for any losses under any circumstances.
Vehicles plus contents are parked at On the Hill Aberfoyle at their owner's risk. Bicycles should remain locked at all times, and also left your own risk , as we cannot be held liable for any theft, or damage to the bikes as a result of being left on our property.
The proprietors will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to persons whilst on our property & grounds.
We reserve the right to remove or restrict from entering the property any person or persons due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property or exceeding the maximum occupancy or length of stay This occupancy is set at 6 persons per house.
No refunds will be given in this instance.
Strictly No smoking in the houses please, this will be treated as unreasonable behaviour.
No parties, stag or hen groups.
We accept well behaved dogs by prior arrangement but this is subject to change. Please make a special request if you would like to bring a dog/s max 2. There is a dog fee of £20 per dog per week. We ask that you bring old towels to dry your dog off after walks and his / her bed. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture , beds, and please bring your own pet basket / blanket for sleeping on. Please no fouling of the house or garden, and don’t leave your dog unattended. Please note that there may be gaps in the garden boundaries through which your dog could escape, we advise that you check carefully on arrival! We can’t be held responsible for any escapes or mishaps, please supervise at all times. Please respect the neighbours & keep noise to a minimum.
A charge may be levied for excess cleaning or damage (for example finding a lot of dog hairs on sofa- despite dogs not being allowed on furniture) Thankfully, most of our visitors are respectful and this is very rarely necessary ☺
